Podere Bertinga’ IGT Toscana

The Bertinga vineyard is close to the village of Lecchi in Chianti. This vineyard covers two hectares with a very fine southern exposure and a soil with a natural vocation for producing major red wines, a lime base with a prevalence of alberese rocks.

The “Bertinga” wine (a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot) is refined in Allier oak barriques (thirty per cent of which are replaced every year) for a period of eighteen months, after which comes the final blending and bottling. It then rests for another six months in the bottle before being released.
